Education

2024 – Present
MSc Human-Computer Interaction
Utrecht University, Utrecht

Currently developing knowledge in user experience design, usability testing, interaction design, and research methods. This programme helps me evaluate and design digital technologies from a human-centred perspective.

2020 – 2024
BSc Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence
Tilburg University, Tilburg

Completed an interdisciplinary programme focused on human cognition, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cognitive systems. During this degree, I worked on several AI-related projects and developed skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

2019 – 2020
Pre-Bachelor Programme
Tilburg University, Tilburg

Completed a preparatory programme that helped me transition into higher education in the Netherlands and prepare for my bachelor's studies.

2014 – 2017
BSc Mechatronics Engineering
University of Aleppo, Aleppo

Studied engineering fundamentals related to mechanics, electronics, and technology. This early technical background contributed to my interest in problem solving and intelligent systems.

Developing a strong technical foundation

During my Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, I developed a strong technical foundation through courses such as:

Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Programming. These courses taught me how intelligent systems are developed, evaluated, and applied to real-world problems. This robust background is crucial for creating effective and innovative UI/UX solutions.

Understanding human cognition

Alongside the technical courses, I studied Cognitive Science, Linguistics, and other human-centered subjects. These courses helped me understand how people process information, make decisions, and interact with technology. This deep understanding of human behavior is foundational to designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring that technology serves human needs effectively.

Expanding towards human-centered technology

In my Master's programme in Human-Computer Interaction, I expanded my perspective by focusing on the relationship between people and technology. Courses such as Qualitative Research Methods, Quantitative Research Methods, Requirements Engineering, and Adaptive Interactive Systems introduced me to user-centered design. This specialization has equipped me to create meaningful and impactful digital experiences that prioritize the user.
